Tom Rubython – Editor-in-Chief
Tom Rubython is best known as the author of the best selling biography, The Life of Senna, now in it’s 8th year of publication having sold over 80,000 copies. Before founding The Myrtle Press he has been involved in the publishing of nine books. Recent successes have come in the form of Shunt – the story of James Hunt and And God Created Burton the definitive biography of the actor Richard Burton.
Mary Hynes – Sales & Marketing Director
Mary Hynes started in classified advertising sales in local newspapers in Northampton and was classified manager for Marketeer, a trade newspaper in 1983. Since then she has worked on Amusement Business Leisure Business and, latterly, EuroBusiness. She was responsible for all the sales and marketing and public relations of The Life of Senna both in hardback and softback formats.
David Peett – Logistics Director
David Peett is a vastly experienced distribution and logistics manager. He entered the industry working on EuroBusiness magazine and moved to run distribution on F1 Magazine, BusinessF1 and SportsPro magazines. He has been involved in the publishing of many books and is well versed on how the book publishing industry works from his specialist knowledge acquired over the years.
Ania Grzesik – Creative Director
Ania Grzesik trained at Chelsea College of Art and Slade School of Fine Art, and has had a successful career as a painter. Having been involved in the launch of Formula 1 Magazine she was chief designer of BusinessF1 Magazine and Art Director of SportsPro and Spectator Business Magazines.
Kiran Toor – Chief Sub Editor
Dr Kiran Toor is an academic and part-time lecturer in critical thinking and composition. After completing her graduate studies in English Romanticism at Oxford University, she recently published her first book on alchemical tropes in 18th and 19th Century British Literature. She has worked as a freelance editor with various publishing houses for the past three years.
Sophia Doe – Picture Editor
Sophia Doe has completed her first year at Roehampton University studying linguistics and journalism. In her gap year she has taken up the role as researcher at The Myrtle Press and is currently working on, And God Created Burton, a new biography of Richard Burton.
